I headed out for lunch with Chris at One - Ninety at the Four Seasons Hotel this afternoon. We had heard of its burgers for some time now, and I really wanted to try it out.
Chris ordered the Tenderloin Beef burger, while I had the Wagyu Beef burger with Foi Gras and a sprinkling of Truffles by the side. All in all, and excellent lunch, and I was S$95 poorer!
What does Elkan and the IMF have in common? Well…. nothing much, except that he will be welcoming them with his smirk on the Smiles 2006 mural!
My Bro-in-law submitted his photo without telling us. Wah… I think I need to charge you know.
Blogging from the E61 is quite a breeze. Much easier than blogging from the O2 Atom really.

Elkan’s probably the happiest. Seeing Vicky the dog, he keeps chasing her around the house trying to pull her tail and irritate her. Ha ha ha… :d
My Philippines colleagues…. Bless their hearts… They found my phone.
Thank God! At least now, I can sell the phone and get back some money. To be honest, I’ve been thinking of late to sell the Atom, as my calls kept getting disconnected.
Ah… what a beautiful start to the pre-weekend…. 
OK… I got myself a new phone….
The all new Nokia E61
Had to go all the way to Causeway Point to get it, cause it was the very LAST piece in M1. They were almost sold out since Saturday’s launch of the phone. Yeah… its that new.
In the meantime, the blokes in Philippines are still trying to get my phone back. I hope they do.
By all accounts, it started out a bad day already, with the headache.
The day just got worse. 
I was on the way to the airport in a cab, when my vendor called me. I obviously answered the call, and after te call, put back my phoen in my pocket. What I didn’t realised was that the phone slipped out onto the cab seat.
When I got off the cab and walked into the airport, I suddenly realised that my phone wasn’t with me! But… it was already too late. The cab had already left.
I made a call back to the local office and asked LA, the sweet admin person helping me to help me trace the cab. I am not hopeful to get my phone back, as this cab driver was quite dishonest and also tried blatently to ask me for more money for the fare. I turned him down flatly twice. I guess this would have made his day, and he would never return the phone.
My fears were sort of confirmed when I called LA again about 10 minutes later. They tried calling my cell phone, but no one picked up. Sigh… I wrote back to Chris and asked her to cancel my sim card immediately. Who knows what this bloke would do?
Sigh….. not working out to be a good day at all…..:(
BUT!!! I still thank God for this, as this is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it! So, I will look on the bright side of things!
A quick one before I head to the airport to catch my 5pm flight to Manila.
We noticed last night while at Teochew City at Centre Point, that there was a Meet Winnie the Pooh children’s event, and the kids were clamouring to go see Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Ee-ore and Piglet. Unfortunately, we were not able to bring the kids down to meet the cartoon characters last night. Ariel was in tears last night because of this.
So, this morning, we decided to head out to Centre Point again just to see Winnie and the gang at the Hundred Acre Woods. We decided to skip church, so that I could spend some time with the family, since I’m flying out to Manila in the afternoon.
We headed out, bought a children’s panty pack for S$10, and got a coupon to take a snap shot with the ol’ bear himself.

When the DJ came by to chat with the girls, the girls just got so shyyyy… and clamped up. No amount of cajouling would get them to talk. ha ha ha ha

When we finally got on stage, Kyla was in a right panic, and began crying hysterically. She refused to look at the camera. Only Ariel was brave enough for the camera. Wah lau… the photographer also dun know how to take picture one. Sationery picture also can take until so lousy.
Oh well….. That a good Sunday morning spent with the family before I fly to Manila for a couple of days.

Its Ariel’s 3rd birthday today, and Mum’s birthday on Monday. It’s also Father’s day tomorrow! So, we decided to bring the whole family out for dinner tonight at Teochew City at Centre Point. Chris booked a whole room for ourselves, with two tables.
It’s dad’s first trip out to Orchard road after his hospitalization, and we wanted for him to get a really nice meal at a comfortable teochew restaurant. So, Teochew City it is.
Chris’ whole familly were there, except for Val and Reagan and of course Angelica. They’re still home resting. My bro and sis couldn’t make it, as they’re still in Australia. But, we had about close to 20 persons as it was.
“Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday…” I think the children live for this song. They get soooo excited over it. Makes it really fun to watch. Even little Elkan knows how to clap along. He knows that there is a delicious cake waiting after the song!

Of course, we had to take one with my parents as well! Dad’s looking really great isn’t he? Lost quite a bit of weight, but otherwise very healthy! Thanks be to God.

While walking around the shameless and sad example of an airport, I bumped into a fellow citizen and someone who most Singaporeans will know.
Mr Edmund Chen Zhi Chai….. or better known to some as the husband of Samsui women Xiang Yun, or lesser known to some as a Television Corporation of Singapore actor.
Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What’s Edmund Chen doing in a sleazy Vietnamese magazine spread??!!??
I quickly picked up the magazine, and walked to a secluded corner of the shop, and flipped it open, expecting to see some things I wouldn’t get caught dead seeing in public!

Ha ha ha ha….. It’s just a photo spread of Edmund Chen in different clothes lah…. Seriously, I didn’t know he was well known in Vietnam at all. Or is it because his popularity is dropping in Singapore, so that he has to go export himself overseas, like what our PAP government is encouraging all of us to do?
I guess it was kinda interesting seeing a well known personality in Vietnam.
OK…. I’m off to Manila tomorrow afternoon. Who knows, maybe I’ll see Edmend Chen Zhi Chai there too! ha ha ha ha!!!!
